The patented piezo ceramic disc (ultrasonic generator) in the brush head generates the ultrasound and directs it with up to 96 million air vibrations per minute directly into the emmi ® -dent ^ultrasonic toothpaste, which is enriched with microbubbles. The ultrasonic waves destroy the structure of the microbubbles, resulting in a suction effect that removes the biofilm and plaque. This allows you to thoroughly clean your teeth and protect your gums without brushing. The result is teeth that are smooth to the touch. Bacteria are reduced and the mouth stays fresh for longer after cleaning.

How to use an ultrasonic toothbrush?

The new way of cleaning teeth works  without scrubbing  or pressure. The brush head is simply guided lightly over the teeth. Please also use our special ultrasonic toothpaste with the emmi®-dent brush. The unique formula creates the necessary microbubbles that remove dirt and deposits. A tube of 75 milliliters is enough for about six weeks.

Depending on the tooth shape, the brush head reaches two to three teeth. After about 6 seconds on the teeth, move the ultrasonic toothbrush to the next teeth. This is repeated until all teeth are clean. A tooth cleaning takes  about 3 minutes . Then you simply rub off all loosened dirt starting from the gums and rinse your mouth out as usual. In the case of heavy deposits and large interdental spaces, we recommend that you initially   clean the interdental spaces with tools from emmi ^® -dent such as dental floss, interdental brushes and mouthwash.

What is the difference between an ultrasonic toothbrush and a sonic toothbrush

There are different types of electric toothbrushes. Some clean by rotating the mostly round brush head, others generate vibrations that set the bristles on rather elongated bristle heads in motion and thus rub the dirt off the tooth. This usually happens at 20,000 to 30,000 vibrations per minute. The emmi®-dent ultrasonic toothbrush surpasses both: the emmi®-dent works with up to 96 million oscillations per minute and does not use vibrations, but ultrasonic waves.

With the ultrasonic toothbrush, you do not remove the deposits mechanically, i.e. by abrasion, but by the  imploding bubbles  in the toothpaste. A mile-wide difference in effect and effectiveness. You will feel the difference!

How often do I have to change the brush heads?

The ultrasonic attachments can   be used for 3 months and should then be replaced. The bristle structure changes over time due to the ultrasonic waves and after a certain time no longer transmits the ultrasound 100%. For optimal tooth cleaning, remember to change the attachments four times a year.
